OUR HISTORY
Brainbench School was founded in 2011, officially opening its doors on January 5, 2011. At the time, it only offered classes up to Class 1. The first intake included just a handful of pupils, with the 8th pupil being admitted on May 3, 2011. During its inaugural year, the school had only two teachers—Tr. Carol in preschool and Tr. Julia in Class 1—working within a single block of four classrooms. The school operated without a fence, water supply, or electricity. The first year concluded with 11 students enrolled.

In 2012, Brainbench saw steady growth, with new admissions increasing the student population to 29 by the end of the year. In the third year, 23 additional pupils joined, prompting the construction of a new block to accommodate Grades 1, 2, and 3. By 2013, the school had expanded to five teachers, marking a notable increase in both faculty and facilities. In 2015, Brainbench continued its physical growth with the construction of a new block for the upper classes.
The school made significant strides in infrastructure development, with several key projects completed between 2018 and 2020. In 2018, a modern kitchen was built to improve the school's facilities, enhancing the learning environment for its students. In 2020, a new preschool block was added to accommodate younger learners. Additionally, at the beginning of 2019, Brainbench acquired its first school van to cater to the transportation needs of its growing student body.

Brainbench's academic success became evident with the outstanding performance of its first group of KCPE candidates in 2018. The top student scored 401 marks, closely followed by another student with 399 marks, resulting in a school mean score of 340. In 2019, the second group of candidates also excelled, with three pupils scoring over 400 marks, and the school mean improving to 342. After a break caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Brainbench's KCPE candidates in 2021 raised the mean score to 349, further establishing the school's reputation for academic excellence.

As of today, Brainbench School has evolved into a modern institution equipped with essential facilities such as a perimeter fence, its own water supply, and electricity. The school is well-prepared to meet the requirements of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). The Brainbench community remains grateful for the continued support from its partners and is optimistic about achieving even greater success in the future, all under the guidance of divine grace.
